Operation Bad Karma: Ultimate Combat Scenario Rules
The Scenario:
After United States Coast Guard cutter Panache intercepts a stolen yacht who’s owners have been murdered by drug runners, the President of the United States announces a major escalation in the ongoing War On Drugs. As part of this escalation a small group of U.S. Army Rangers is dropped deep into the South American mountains to run operations against the growers and producers of illegal narcotics.
The reduction in production creates strife in the volatile MedellĂn cartel, which prompts one drug family leader to assassinate the Director of the FBI while on a visit to Columbia. The President of the United States creates Operation Reciprocity in order to go after the leaders of the cartel. The Ranger force begins a systematic campaign to eliminate the Cartel leadership.
“These drug cartels represent a clear and present danger to the national security of the United States.” – The President of the United States
IT IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED THAT PLAYERS WATCH THE MOVIE CLEAR AND PRESENT DANGER. THIS WILL HELP YOU UNDERSTAND THE RULES AND HOW EVENTS WILL PLAY OUT THROUGH THE COURSE OF THE SCENARIO.

The Cartel members / mercenaries must move their drug shipments from their processing facilities to Cafe Lindo while the U.S. Special Operations Forces must coordinate raids to destroy the Cartel processing facilities. Cartel members / mercenaries may only carry 5 Kilos per person.
The U.S. Special Operations Forces will be able to perform close air support with the use of an AC-130 Spectre Gunship and MH-6 Littlebirds when given airstrikes by the event coordinator.
Throughout the day there will be referees who will award team members with teamwork commendations for outstanding actions and sportsmanship.

The Final mission will begin at 1600 hours and will be an all out assault for control of Cafe Lindo.
At 1700, the scenario will cease and teamwork points will be tallied. The team with the most points will win.
Medic Rules: Each player will be given a SEALED casualty card. ONLY THE MEDIC IS ALLOWED TO OPEN THE CASUALTY CARD. The medic will be the Referee assigned to your CCP. Any player who is found opening their casualty card will receive 5 Penalty points. Once a player is hit, they must move immediately to their CCP for first aid. The medic will then assess the casualty by opening their casualty card. Wounded players will be able to immediately deploy back into the scenario. Killed in Action (KIA) players will remain at the CCP until the next reinsertion is announced.
The Cartel Members / Mercenaries must return to their assigned Cartel processing facility to receive first aid.
The U.S. Forces Commander will control a floating Casualty Collection Point (CCP) for hit personnel to go to and receive first aid.
Sniper Rules: If you are or plan on being a sniper, this will determine if you ever want to be a real sniper. This will also dispel any myth that there are no snipers in paintball. Snipers, you have one target and one target only, the Cartel Leader or the U.S. Commander depending on the side you are on. Once you receive your intel packet, you will deploy at the discretion of your sniper deployment officer (U.S. Commander or Cartel Leader). Your sole mission is to NOT compromise your position and eliminate the HVT. You could have the full battle all around you and you must maintain your discipline and wait for your one shot. You may feed your team intel. Your mission success could drastically win the scenario for your team. You will receive special colored paint from the Bad Karma staff. Once a HVT has been determined to be eliminated by a ref, your team will receive your one-time allotted points. The HVT will follow standard medic rules determined by their casualty card. If the HVT is hit any other times throughout the scenario by a sniper, those kills will fall under the normal rules.
Helicopter Rules: THERE IS NO FIRING MARKERS AT HELICOPTERS OR OCCUPANTS. Only the U.S. Special Operations Forces are authorized use of helicopters. The only way to shoot down a helicopter is with a LAW or RPG (Nerf Rockets). A helicopter is designated by the pilot with the ORANGE helicopter symbol above his head. ONLY 6 Troops and 1 Pilot allowed per helicopter. The U.S. Forces Commander can use the three helicopters at his/her discretion throughout the event. For each HELO operation, a pilot and up to 6 passengers should be assigned. A helicopter is in flight when the pilot is standing and/or walking. A helicopter is landed when the pilot takes a knee. There is NO embarking, disembarking or shooting while the helicopter is in flight. All passengers must have one hand on the shoulder of the person in front of them. Any rocket hit to the pilot or passengers will shoot down the helicopter and all occupants are eliminated. This helicopter rule with the use of Nerf rockets has been used for many years by several scenario producers and there have been no injuries.
Destroying Cartel Processing Facilities: The U.S. Forces must gain control of the facility, place charges and hold the facility for a total of 10 minutes. If a facility is destroyed, the facility is out of play for the remainder of the scenario. All kilos and the CCP at that location are destroyed and out of play. Cartel members / mercenaries will then need to shift to one of the remaining processing facilities.
Re-insertions: Re-insertions will occur every 10 minutes.
